Don’t forget, Team SixOneFour’s Zanesville Road Race is this weekend!
Despite what the groundhog has said, sunshine and warmer temperatures are on their way and with them, the 2018 season is just around the corner. A couple updates on where things stand with the OCA and where we hope to go.
- The current board members for 2018 are:
Katsu Tanda – President
Spencer Hackett – Vice President
Lauren Kraft – Treasurer
Kari Hutson – Secretary
Please feel free to reach out to any of them with questions, comments, or concerns.
- In the past, the Ohio Spring Race Series has hosted 8-10 events per spring across the central, western, and southwestern regions of Ohio hosting evens for all ages and experience levels. This year, there will continue to be road racing and crits in Ohio, however, the Ohio Spring Race Series is going to be postponed as new leadership takes over and we add some additional board positions.
- Speaking of additional board positions! We have some exciting news. We are looking to add five additional voting members, a junior development representative, and a women’s development representative to the board within the next month. We are seeking enthusiastic, passionate individuals from each region of the state to join the board in encouraging new riders while promoting growth in cycling in the state of Ohio. Responsibilities would include in person attendance at quarterly meetings as well as positively representing Ohio Cycling when in attendance at events. If you want to be a driving force in growing cycling in Ohio, please reach out to us at ohiocyclingboard at gmail dot com within the next week to tell us a little about you. We hope to have selections made on or before our March meeting.
